Speeding

We had a visit today by a plastic hire boat who thought it would be great fun to come under Abingdon bridge as fast as possible. Not only did he send all the plastic boats around on a white knuckle ride on their morings, poor old Tapper was thrown off balance in his boat and cut his head open. Don't let me hear anyone say speeding doesn't do any harm.

Tapper was hurt? ouch...

the lower Thames is full of Blakes boats. Their main haboit down here is to charge out of a lock as fast as possible, sending everyone waiting to go in all over the place...

I have been saying that it is only a matter of time before someone has a serious injoury inflicted on them by a speeding boater, and it seems it has happened more than just one. I am so sorry for Tapper, i hope he is ok?
