Phyllis May

I was rather surprised to read that Phillis May is "Britians best known Narrowboat". Personally I had never heard the name before, but then I never followed the madcap antics of Terry and Monica Darlington, no telly you see and I have never read their books . . . . well they've never read mine!

I am gob smacked and that takes a lot. No way can it be the best known narrowboat. The boat is only known because of their two books, other than that it rarely moves from its mooring. I would have thought that it would have been President and Kildare. Just shows what we know ha ha
