Don't get me going! London bus shelters - which have one wall and a roof - carry the same signs! Smoking "areas" with a roof must have at least 50% of their sides open to the air. Who, apart from smokers, would go into a smoking "area"?

Hi Maffi,

I think its some lunacy regarding a space being "enclosed on 3 sides". In front of one of the precinct entrances to Birmingham Bull Ring ( the one where the ghastly goldenish coloured statue of a bull is), there is a canopy with a glass roof that must be 50 feet high, and maybe 30 yards wide. Same again... no smoking under the canopy!!!!
