Moored where!

I just love the way people cruise all day, arrive at dusk, then expect to moor up in a prime spot. Usually right outside a pub but in the absense of that spot why not moor on the bridge mooring. This has certainly been a weekend for strange aplication of the rules. Still at least they didn't take up a valuable mooring spot needed by a PROPER BOATER!

Whats wrong with cruising all day? We buy boats to use them not leave them moored up.

Absolutely nothing wrong at all but when it comes time to moor up it is not acceptable to moor on bridge moorings or lock moorings in the same way it is not acceptable to tie a rope across the towpath. Cruise all day if you want to but don't moor where you will cause a hazard to other boaters and dont expect a nice mooring with rings and a nice edge. If you should find the need to moor where you shouldnt then get up early and fuck off. As it was this moron could have moored 5 boats down on 100foot of prime mooring. It is unthinking and disrespectful to all those PROPER boaters who do play by the rules.
