Oh My God!!!

With all that space to make a right turn, this hapless boater hit the end mooring. In a similar situation in a motor car this would never have happened, so why do these Muppets drive a 15 ton boat straight into a concrete edge. This is a regular occurrence.

I remember the one when we were there. What were his words, "I didn't know which way the canal went" so he went straight into the bank.

Happens two or three times a week.

Exactly the same here oop North at Fall Ings - dead-end wharfage is straight on, lock is off to the left. We've had to erect 'Turn Left' signs to alleviate shouts of surprise and crunching noises when boaters discover the canal finishes in 58ft.
